West Roxbury Roofing Contractor Daniel M. Fox Can Handle Any Type of Roof or Roofing Material.

When you live in West Roxbury, roofing can take on many forms. Being a suburb of Boston, you can have anything from a modern asphalt or metal roof, all the way to historic copper, slate, or tile, with the accompanying steep pitches and gables. So you need a West Roxbury roofer who can handle virtually anything roofing related.

That’s why Daniel M Fox is the West Roxbury Roofing contractor of choice. Here are a few reasons why:

    • More Than 25 Years of Roofing Experience – That’s a quarter century of knowledge and professional roofing experience. Only the best of the best stay in business that long, and that’s what you get when you hire Daniel M. Fox – the best!

    • Any Type of Roof or Roofing Material is Fine – The different types of roofs a West Roxbury roofer can encounter are quite diverse. Indeed, you have residential and commercial roofs, but the materials differ greatly. You will find common asphalt shingles, of course, but there are also more exotic roofs, like copper, slate, tile, or any combination of such. Plus, many older buildings have, decorative trim, gutters, flashings, and much more. Daniel M. Fox handles every one, with expert care.

    • A Clean, Professional Job – The jobsite is always neat and tidy, your property is treated with respect, and we are fully insured. You will not find a more professional roofing company in West Roxbury (or anywhere else for that matter.)

  • Other Services – Besides handling West Roxbury roofs, Daniel M Fox also handles carpentry, repair, and other building work. And in the winter, expert (and fast) snow plowing is another of our services. We do it all!

Serving West Roxbury MA (zip code 02132) and the surrounding areas

West Roxbury can trace its history back to the 1600’s, when it was originally part of the Town of Roxbury. But like many of those older New England towns, as they became more established and populated, they further split, and in 1851, West Roxbury seceded from Roxbury (detailed further below… on another note, it appears secession was quite popular in the mid 1800’s, both in the North and the South!)

Today, West Roxbury is officially a neighborhood of Boston, and a very diverse one at that. Since its history spans nearly 400 years, you can find all manner of architecture and buildings. Even some newer buildings were built with an “old school” look to better fit the area’s vibe. This is why your roofing contractor needs experience with every type of roof. Residential, commercial, slate, copper, steep pitches, decorative trim and gutters… we handle it all. Contact us here, or use the form above, and we’ll do the rest.

A Grave Situation Leads to a Split

So why did West Roxbury secede from Roxbury, and why were the lines drawn where they were? The answer lies in the earth – literally! When Roxbury was first incorporated, the area utilized the Eliot Burial Ground. But this proved too far for the westerly residents of Roxbury. Thus, the Westerly Burial Ground was established for these residents. This led to a clear geographical “division” in the minds of many folks, so when conflicts between rural and urbanized areas came to a head in the 1800’s, the secession essentially followed this unseen line. And there you have it – West Roxbury officially becomes its own place.
